The September 8 deadline has passed
FMCSA removed ten devices from its Registered ELDs List on July 9, 2026, after determining that they did not meet the minimum technical requirements in 49 CFR Part 395. The agency gave motor carriers until September 8 to install a compliant replacement. FMCSA says that, beginning September 8, a driver who continues using an affected device can be cited under 49 CFR 395.8(a)(1) for having no record of duty status and placed out of service under the applicable CVSA criteria.

The affected products are Ontime Logs iosix (identifier 24b11f), LAST MINUTE ELD (LMN932), Porter ELD (POR247), Zee HOS Compliance (F594EF), EV ELD IOSIX—formerly EVO ELD IOSIX—(G711H3), Light and Travel ELD (LNT780), PREMIERRIDE LOGS (PRD391), 2BRO ELD (2BRELD), 305 ELD (2BR305), and TT ELD 40 (TTAH49). Fleets should compare the exact ELD name, model number and identifier shown in the cab or vendor account rather than relying only on a familiar app logo.
What carriers and drivers should do now
Stop dispatching with an affected ELD, select a replacement from FMCSA’s current Registered ELDs List, preserve required hours-of-service records and train drivers before the next trip. FMCSA’s notice instructed users to discontinue the revoked device and temporarily use paper logs or logging software during the transition; that temporary period has now ended. If a provider later corrects the deficiencies, FMCSA may return the device to the registered list, but a vendor’s assurance is not a substitute for checking the official list.
Practical pre-dispatch check
Open the FMCSA ELD list, search the device by identifier, and confirm its current status before assigning the truck. Drivers should also know how to display or transfer records from the replacement system and should report any gap or malfunction immediately. A compliant device must support an accurate hours-of-service record; installing an app without verifying registration and driver setup does not resolve the risk.
